Madrid, 26 May 2022. Patricia Salama has become a partner at ELZABURU, the second woman holding that position currently at the firm. In addition to becoming a partner, she has been appointed as head of the firm’s patent department.
Patricia, who holds a doctorate in molecular biology and biochemistry and a degree in biological sciences from the Madrid Autonomous University, qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2013 and she joined ELZABURU in 2016.
She has been active in the field of industrial property since 2010, working in a technical capacity for a patent agency and as head of the patent department of a pharmaceutical company.
She previously worked for more than 10 years in research laboratories in the fields of developmental genetics, neurobiology and stem cells, and she has extensive experience in patents and utility models, licensing and technology transfer.
Patricia Salama is the second woman currently holding the position of partner of the firm: “I am proud to be part of this exciting revolution at ELZABURU and to have been made a partner.
