Through the efforts of Alberto de Elzaburu and the Spanish Group of the AIPPI, Spanish is designated one of the Association.

World FICPI Congress organized by Alberto de Elzaburu in Santiago de Compostela.

1980

WIPO names Alberto de Elzaburu as a lecturer for various training courses for officials of the Chinese Patent Office.

1987

Committee in Support of the Designation of Spain as the Seat of the Community Trade Mark Office founded with Alberto de Elzaburu.

1996

ELZABURU registers the first Community trademark for the AIPPI.

Litigation Department established with Antonio Castán as Director.

2000

First Ibero-American Forum on Innovation, Intellectual and Industrial Property and Development held, with Alberto de Elzaburu.

2001

Alberto de Elzaburu awarded the Grand Cross of Her Catholic Majesty Queen Isabella by His Majesty the King of Spain.

2003

Alberto de Elzaburu becomes the first Spanish national to be named Member of Honour of ASIPI.

ELZABURU is accredited as a duly authorized official Registrar for “.es” domain names.

ELZABURU files the first Community registered designs for a model by Mercedes.

Spanish joins French and English as official WIPO languages and ELZABURU files the first international mark in Spanish.

ELZABURU files the first Spanish industrial design application under the new Industrial Design Act of 2003 with Spain’s PTO.

The Spanish Group of the AIPPI issues a Festschrift honouring Alberto de Elzaburu.

ELZABURU is certified ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 compliant.

ELZABURU presents its website in Chinese.
